AHMA’s 30th Anniversary

How did we get here?

AHMA was created in 1996 when the Federal government announced it would stop building new urban Native housing units and devolve social housing to the provinces.

AHMA’s 30 Year Impact

AHMA’s work encompasses more than housing. We work to provide a holistic set of services to Indigenous people because we know that wraparound support is necessary for healing and growth.
